Delete your Sift data
App: Sift (ai.lazycode.sift) · Developer: Lazycode
Sift has no account or sign-in, so there is no account to close. Everything Sift keeps about how you use it is either on your phone, where you can remove it yourself, or in Firebase usage stats and crash reports, which you can switch off and ask us to delete.
1. Switch off usage stats and crash reports
Open Sift, go to Settings › Help improve Sift and turn off Share usage stats and Send crash reports. Nothing more is sent from then on.
2. Remove Sift's records from your phone
- Open Android Settings › Apps › Sift › Storage.
- Tap Clear data, or uninstall Sift.
This deletes your decision history, rules, modes and settings.
3. Your photos and videos
Sift never deletes your photos, so removing the app does not remove them either. Files that you approved sit in the Sift folder (Pictures/Sift) until you delete them in your gallery or file manager. Copies already uploaded by your backup app are managed in that app, for example Google Photos or OneDrive.
4. Usage stats and crash reports
Firebase keeps these under a random installation ID, not your name or email. Crash reports are kept for 90 days and usage stats for no longer than 14 months. To ask us to look for and delete what we hold from your phone, email soumya@lazycode.ai with the subject “Delete my Sift data”, your phone brand and Android version, and roughly when you used Sift. We reply within 7 days and tell you if we cannot identify anything.
